The international dimension is integral to the mission of St Mary’s. It seeks to enhance the academic, professional, social and personal development of all those who participate in international activities. The College has a wide range of partner institutions in Europe as well as in the USA and the wider world and is actively involved in student mobility, teacher mobility, staff training and collaborative research.
All undergraduate students at St Mary’s have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus placement during the second semester of their second year of study. The College has bilateral agreements with over thirty universities elsewhere in Europe to facilitate student mobility. The programme is funded by the European Union and provides grants to students. Many of the universities involved are able to accept students with no foreign language requirements and to provide courses for students whose only language is English.
